Hop to local Easter events

The Easter bunny will be busy hiding eggs across Wise County this weekend. Several churches are hosting Easter egg hunts in conjunction with their church services, and they feature games and prizes. Check out what’s happening in your community.

EASTER EVENTS – The Bay Church in Runaway Bay is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30, for ages 1 to 12. There will be activities for all ages, though, including food, prizes, bounce houses and photos with the Easter bunny. The church is located at 20 Runaway Bay Dr.

BRING YOUR BASKETS – Oak Grove United Methodist Church is having an Easter egg hunt 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30. The church is located at 1295 Greenwood Rd.

EASTER CELEBRATION – Balsora Baptist Church is having an Easter egg hunt 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and all children are welcome. The church will host a sunrise service 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. followed by regular service at 9:45 a.m. There will be no evening service.

EGG HUNT – Victory Family Church in Decatur is having a prize egg and candy hunt at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 31. The church is located at 400 W. U.S. 380.

SUNSET EASTER – County Line Cowboy Church in Sunset is having an Easter egg hunt and lunch following Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. March 31. The church is at 890 N. U.S. 287.

TREATS FOR ALL – The Rock is having an Easter egg hunt after its 11 a.m. service Sunday at the Bridgeport Stage, 1009 Halsell St. There will be 5,000 eggs, candy and prizes for all ages. The grand prize egg for adults is $500. For information, visit www.therockbridgeport.com.
