Home invasion suspects caught on camera

Wise County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for a home invasion that occurred in the dark, early morning hours last Monday.

Three masked men, one of them armed with a knife, allegedly broke into a man’s home and assaulted him around 3:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at a residence on South Wickham Street in Alvord.

The 39-year-old homeowner was attacked while sleeping in his bed. Although he suffered some minor injuries, he managed to battle back, causing the trio to flee, but not before his home security camera caught them in the act.

The homeowner managed to pull a mask from one of the male individuals, and investigators have been able to pull video and still images of the three suspects from the victim’s home security camera system.

“We’re hoping with the use of the video and still photos that someone will be able to recognize these suspects,” said Wise County Sheriff David Walker. “The victim doesn’t know who they are are.”

The entire invasion lasted less than one minute.

“I don’t think they expected him to start fighting back,” Walker said.
