After months of planning and deliberation, Bridgeport city officials have outlined a financial plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
A public hearing on the budget for fiscal year 2013-2014, which begins Oct. 1, will be held at the beginning of the council meeting Tuesday.
During the meeting, officials will also consider contracts and agreements with various vendors, including North Central Texas Council of Governments for enhanced 911 service, equipment, addressing and database maintenance; Taylor, Olson, Adkins, Sralla and Elam for legal services; Baird, Hampton and Brown for consulting engineering; and Gifford Electric Inc. for preventative maintenance on the outdoor warning system.
The council will also consider purchasing health insurance from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, dental insurance from Guardian, vision insurance from Superior Vision and life and accidental death and disability insurance from Lincoln Financial.
The meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, is open to the public.
