After issuing bonds to fund the project, Bridgeport is ready to begin extensive sidewalk and street improvements.
At its meeting Tuesday, the city council will swear in newly-appointed member A.Z. Smith and discuss with city staff the Street Improvement Plan and the expenditure of bond funds.
The council will also consider a change order increasing by $3,400 the total amount for the construction of a perimeter fence around Northwest OHV Park.
naming a new authorized representative for the Texas Local Government Investment Pool in light of former financial services director Amy Standard’s resignation;
approving a one-year extension to a contract with DFW Communications for public safety radio equipment;
extending for one year the city’s contract with Blackboard Connect for a mass citizen notification system;
offering a one-year contract to Wise County to use Bridgeport Public Library as a county library; and
considering the use of $5,000 in hotel occupancy tax funds for a concert Oct. 19 benefiting the city’s volunteer fire department.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 900 Thompson St.
