The Runaway Bay city council will meet twice next week, each time to address a relatively short agenda.

For its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, the council will consider the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. In addition to routine business – approving the November meeting minutes, financials, accounts payable, journal entries, code enforcement report and activity reports – they will also consider contracting with Wise County Appraisal District for the assessment and collection of city property taxes in 2014,

Tuesday’s meeting is at 7 p.m.

They will meet again for a work session 3:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss engineering requests for qualifications for various projects. City secretary Oneta Berghoefer said specifics had not yet been identified.

Both meetings will be held at City Hall, 101 Runaway Bay Drive.
