Wise Regional Health System CEO Steve Summers will update the Decatur City Council on the hospital’s “activities and services” when the council meets at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
That report will likely include information about the hospital’s offer to purchase the assets of North Texas Community Hospital in Bridgeport out of bankruptcy. That case is under way in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Fort Worth, with a Jan. 28 deadline for any other bidders to put in their offers.
The council’s agenda also includes action on a zoning change to allow construction of a building at Mill and Stratton for H2X, a hydro-excavating company that plans to open its national headquarters here.
Also up for discussion are proposed speed limit changes on U.S. 380 in the city limits, a proposed study of the city’s utilities and other support services, reappointment of four directors to the Decatur Hospital Authority Board of Directors and an information report on refinancing a 2004 series of certificates of obligation.
The meeting is open to the public.
