The Paradise City Council plans to meet for the first time this year 7 p.m Thursday at City Hall.

There was no January meeting because there was no quorum. To avoid further cancellations, the council will discuss changing the meeting date and time at this meeting.

A committee formed at the December meeting will report to the council and request they consider hiring a grant consultant, conducting a survey for grant qualifications and hiring an engineer to design a possible sewer system.

Councilmembers will also consider a couple of appointments – a replacement for councilmember Michael Robertson, who resigned in December, and an emergency management coordinator.

They will also address “missing monthly (water) samples.” A failure to submit the samples to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in May, June, August and September led to letters (which confused many citizens) being sent out.
