Three spots on the Paradise city council are up for election this fall.
Monday, officials called the Nov. 5 uniform election for the expiring terms – the mayor and places 4 and 5, held by Sam Starr, Roy Steel and Terre Ward, respectively.
Filing for places on the ballot opened in late July and ends 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. As of Tuesday morning, Mayor Starr and Councilman Steel had filed. City Secretary Teresa Moody said two other packets were out.
In 2012, the council opted to move its election to the fall in response to Senate Bill 100.
