Wise County commissioners will have a public hearing 8:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, on the proposed adoption of a plan for the restoration and preservation of records in the county clerk office. The plan includes a records archive fee associated with the county clerk archive fund not to exceed $10.
The public will be allowed to comment. The meeting is in the third floor conference room of the courthouse in Decatur.
The commissioners’ regular meeting will follow at 9 a.m. during which they will consider ratifying a statement of position related to the application of bulk sewage sludge that was submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Aug. 30 by County Judge Bill McElhaney. His submittal was made on behalf of negatively impacted residents and commissioners court.
Commissioners will consider a request from Precinct 3 Commissioner Harry Lamance to remove 1,200 feet of recently constructed fence that was placed in the county’s right-of-way near County Road 4790 and County Road 4797. The fence is owned by Russell and Deborah Wallace.
In other business, commissioners will hear reports from department heads and consider plat approvals, easement requests and joint venture project agreements.
