Finances will be a common theme at Monday’s Chico school board meeting.

The board will hold a public hearing and then approve the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) report. The district received a “superior achievement” rating.

Also, the board will hear a report on costs and services provided by the Region 11 Service Center and consider a resolution calling all of the district’s outstanding Series 2001 bonds for redemption prior to maturity.

In other business, the board will discuss district goals for the 2013-2014 school year, the highly qualified teacher report and the school security audit and emergency operations plan in addition to routine reports.

The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in Room 150 at Chico Elementary School, 1120 Park Road.
