The Chico school board will have a full agenda for Monday’s meeting, highlighted by the adoption of the annual budget and tax rate.

Prior to that, a public hearing on both will be held to give people a chance to comment. The district is proposing a tax rate of $1.2581 per $100 valuation, which represents just over a penny increase from the current rate of $1.24533.

Also related to the budget, the board will approve salary and stipend schedules for the upcoming year.

Other items on the agenda include the school vendor list, student transfer policy, fund balance designations, teacher appraisal calendar, designating primary and secondary teacher appraisers, a TEA-approved Innovative Course in Student Leadership, student code of conduct, student handbook, employee handbook and formation of a facilities review and planning committee.

The board will also hear a Level 3 complaint by Brent Hand as well as routine monthly administrator/principal reports.

The public hearing and meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in Room 150 at Chico Elementary School.
