The Alvord ISD board of trustees will consider a resolution urging legislators “to reject all attempts to divert public dollars away from public schools that have the effect of reducing funding to public schools” at their Thursday evening meeting.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Administration building, 100 Mosley Lane.
Also on the agenda are budget amendments, a proposal to eliminate the requirement that the end-of-course exam counts 15 percent of a student’s final grade, and personnel recommendations.
The board will also discuss its priorities regarding facilities, vehicles and equipment.
