1 dies in motorcycle wreck

An Arlington man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck near Chico Tuesday afternoon.

According to investigators, Andre Jordan, 41, was westbound on Farm Road 1810 around 1:30 p.m. on his way to work at Universal Pressure Pump Services in Chico. It appears that as he approached the curve near County Road 1450, he drove off the roadway.

Jordan attempted to lay the bike down but struck the guard rail, sustaining a deep laceration to his abdomen. The bike proceeded through a fence and into a tree in the ditch.

Jordan was taken by ambulance to Wise Regional Health System. Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Jan Morrow pronounced him dead at 3:04 p.m.

No other vehicles were involved.
