Armando and Edith Contreras of Decatur announce the birth of a daughter, Cortlyn Adamari, on Jan. 3, 2013, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.

She has one brother, Clayton, 7; and one sister, Catelyn, 1.

Grandparents are Jesus and Maria Rodriguez of Decatur, Lucy Contreras of Chicago and Armando Contreras Sr. of Abilene.

Great-grandparents are Esteban Zamarripa Allende and Maria Rodriguez Allende of Coahuila, Mexico.
