15 earn degrees from TWU

Fifteen Wise County residents earned degrees from Texas Woman’s University during spring commencement exercises May 10-11 in Pioneer Hall on the university’s Denton campus.

Dr. Ann Stuart, chancellor of TWU, presided at the ceremony. Approximately 1,764 degrees were awarded during six ceremonies at both Denton and Houston.

Earning degrees were:

  • Amy Cade of Alvord, a bachelor’s degree in general studies, summa cum laude;
  • Dawn Blevins of Bridgeport, bachelor of science in nutrition;
  • Crystal Davis of Bridgeport, bachelor’s degree in business administration, magna cum laude;
  • Janet Seymore of Bridgeport, bachelor of science in family & consumer sciences;
  • Leah Kemp of Chico, bachelor’s degree in business administration-management, summa cum laude;
  • Cynthia Carrillo of Decatur, bachelor of science in biology;
  • Staci Downe of Decatur, bachelor of science in math;
  • Whitney Greiner of Decatur, bachelor of fine arts in art;
  • Hanna Simon of Decatur, bachelor of science in child development;
  • Chelsea Turner of Decatur, bachelor of science in dental hygiene, cum laude;
  • Sheri Seckel of Newark, master of arts in teaching;
  • Candice Steel of Newark, bachelor’s degree in general studies;
  • Stacy Kline of Paradise, bachelor’s degree in social work, summa cum laude;
  • Rachel Morgan of Rhome, bachelor of arts in English, magna cum laude;
  • Kaitlyn Waynen of Runaway Bay, bachelor of science in history, magna cum laude.
