William Rudolph Bias, 56, of Archer City, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at his home.
Services will be Saturday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. at New Vision Ministries in Alvord, with Apostle Quint Burks officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aria Funeral Home of Irving.
William was born Oct. 30, 1957 in Houston. He attended high school in Wellington and worked as a blade hand in construction throughout his life. He also was an EMT and had served on the East Wise, Boyd and Hawley volunteer fire departments. He was a member of the Lake Kickapoo Volunteer Fire Department at the time of his death.
In his younger days he loved to ride motorcycles and compete in motorcross events.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elemer Bias, grandparents Frank and Lorena Boyles, and sisters Sharon Bias and Kittie Yander.
Survivors include his mother, Pauline Bias of Wellington; sons Christopher Bias and wife Kristen of Decatur, and Lance Bias of Houston; daughters Felicia Scott and husband Grady Scott Jr. of Decatur, and Amber Reardon of Decatur; sisters Nancy Bias Grotzinger and Carol Sue Bias, both of Blue Spring, Mo., Karrie Caruthers of Bronaugh, Mo., Natia Bias of Tampa, Fla., Betty Wilson of San Clemente, Calif. and Beverly Lambert of Norco, Calif.; and grandchildren Marissia Bias, Noah Reardon, Nickolas Scott and Zephanie Bias.
