Wanda E. Banister

Wanda E. Banister, 77, of Wise County, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.

A memorial service was Jan. 25 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Decatur, with Nathan Shaffer and Jeff Meredith officiating. Burial will be in Clovis, N.M.

Wanda was born Oct. 5, 1935, in Borger, to John and Hollie Johnson. She was a wife and mother and a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Elvin Banister, and sons Johnny Dale Banister and Ronnie Lee Banister.

Survivors include daughter Vonna Shaffer and husband, Kenneth, of Sunset; brothers Cecil Johnson of California and Bobby Johnson of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren Mandy Allen and husband, Brett, and Nathan Shaffer and wife, Amber; and great-grandchildren Landon, Micah and Hailey Allen and Tristan Shaffer.
