Tony Wayne Gayler, 57, of Decatur died Monday, July 29, 2013, in Fort Worth.
Funeral was Aug. 2 at the Church of Christ in Alvord with Chester Collum officiating. Burial followed at Perryman Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Willett, Paul Blackwell, Kevin King, Larry Piltingsrud, Ibrahim Calderon and Richard Clegg. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Ledford and David Bishop.
Tony was born April 28, 1956, in Bowie to Jerry Wayne and Peggy Annette (Covington) Gayler. Tony had been employed by Josten’s in Denton for more than 25 years as a maintenance tech, and he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived his daughter, Heather Gayler-Jack and husband, Justin, of Decatur; son Jason Starr Gayler and wife, Jamie, of Alvord; grandchildren Seth, Brittany, Lacie, Breigh and Malachi; father Jerry Wayne Gayler of Alvord; sister Sherri Gayler Hartfield of Alvord; three nephews and a host of friends.
