Tom Hall, 59, a longtime North Texas golf course superintendent, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Dallas V.A. Hospital after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Memorial service is 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Runaway Bay Community Church in Runaway Bay. Following the service, Tom’s ashes will be scattered on the 13th hole at the The Club at Runaway Bay.
The Rev. Olin Collins will officiate.
Tom was born Nov. 26, 1953, in Fremont, Neb., to James and Elaine (Diekman) Hall. He married Tammie Hathaway Oct. 7, 2012, in Tyler. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He most recently worked as golf course superintendent for The Club at Runaway Bay. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Tammie Hall of Runaway Bay; mother Elaine V. Hall of Plattsmouth, Neb.; daughters Sara Hall of Fairfield, Calif., and Karen Hall of Plano; brother Robert J. (Mel) Hall of Omaha, Neb.; sisters Jana Paczkowski of Wamego, Kan., and Tina McKee of Pineville, Ark.; nieces and nephews Ben Hall and Larissa of Fort Worth, Matt Hall and Terra of Omaha, Neb., CeCe Rietan of Pineville, Kyla, and David and Nick Paczkowski of Wamego; other family members and a host of friends.
