Ted Steven Qualls, 62, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Denton.
Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. A private burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, Ill.
Ted was born July 7, 1950, in Galesburg to Ted Rodney and Dorothy (Carrel) Qualls. He married Janice Jackson Oct. 2, 1976. Ted was a clerk for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for more than 30 years. He was an avid pilot and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Qualls of Decatur; daughter Stacy Peterson and husband, Jessie, of Aubrey; son Ted Richard Qualls of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren London and Boston Peterson; sister Kathy Qualls of Galesburg, Ill.; brother Richard Qualls of California; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
