T.J. (Thomas John) Bottge, 32, of Springtown died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in Reno. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Cottondale Baptist Church with Charles Pugh officiating.
Bottge was born March 21, 1981, in Englewood, N.J., to Carolyn and Ed Kent. He was employed at McWhorter Construction and enjoyed spending time with his family. He played video games, refinished furniture and maintained an aquarium. He also had an interest in motorcycles and liked to go jet skiing.
Bottge is survived by his wife, Janet; stepson Trinton Barfield of Aurora; stepdaugthers Isabella Miraha Leija of Springtown and Alexis Barfield of Aurora; parents Carolyn and Ed Kent of Virginia Beach, Va.; mother-in-law Patricia Rose of Springtown; fathers-in-law Randy Irby of Springtown and Jerry Fincannon Sr. of Pottsboro; brothers-in-law Jerry Fincannon II and Dan Irby, both of Springtown, Billy Tadlock of Bridgeport and Johnny Irby of Graham; sisters-in-law Jennifer Fincannon of Springtown; and his grandparents of Virginia Beach.
He is also survived by nephews Chance Rose and Marcus Carroll of Springtown, Christian Fincannon of Pueblo, Colo., and William Tadlock of Bridgeport; nieces Jaclynne Rose of Springtown and Jessica Carroll of Hallsville; best friends James and Kim McWhorter and family; and his Texas parents, Carol and Pat of Azle.
Memorials may be made to the Bank of Azle in his name to help cover medical expenses.
