Ronald Lee Rebstock Jr., 50, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Dallas.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Decatur Church of Christ with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Bro. Jerry Hood will officiate. Pallbearers include Roger Reno, Joe Campbell, Joe Driver, Ben Greiser, Rob Avara and Billy Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Wade, Kenneth Dennis, K.C. Castleberry, Roy Gachuzo, Willie Good and Frank Madrea.
Ronald was born Dec. 31, 1962, in Baltimore to Ronald Sr. and Ada (Messenger) Rebstock. He met Amy Jeanette Mosley in 2003, and they married in 2008 in Chico. He was a member of Unchained Biker Church and Prison Ministry of Chico, as well as Renewal Fellowship Church in Boyd.
Ronald loved his five children and loved to teach them new things. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother whose favorite saying was “Jesus loves you, but I’m his favorite!” He worked as a mechanic for Flint Energy for many years and was happiest when working, helping someone or talking about Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Rebstock of Decatur; daughters Cayla Rebstock and Carlee Rebstock of Streator, Ill., McKana Bannister and husband, Austin, of Aurora, and McKaela Aylor of Decatur; son Matthew Hurst of Decatur; mother Ada Rebstock-Cook and husband, Danny, of Decatur; sisters Dawn Hubbard of Alvord and Wanda Lewnard of Littleton, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2002.
