Robert W. ‘Bob’ Nobles

Robert W. “Bob” Nobles, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Decatur.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with the Rev. Dan Bellar officiating. Burial is in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Matt Badger, Wesley Badger, Curtis Badger, Nick Stupka, Patrick Nobles, Rowdy Lisby and Gary Caraway.

Bob was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Decatur to Arthur Ray “Sage” and Annie (Rhine) Nobles. He was united in marriage to Sandra K. Montgomery July 20, 1972, in Marietta, Okla. Bob retired from the Texas Highway Department after 32 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra Nobles; three daughters, Michele Fennell and husband, Bill, Dede Badger and husband, Kyle, and Teri Houchin and husband, Tom; son Charles Mark Montgomery and wife, Catherine, all of Decatur; brother, Billy Ray Nobles and wife, Billie Faye, of Henrietta; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
