Raymond Lee Gann, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Decatur.
Funeral was Sept. 17 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken May and Doug Vaughn officiating. Pallbearers were Austin Gann, Kyle Curry, Jacky Carter, Jeff Curry, Mitch Arrington and Ron Mosley.
Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home of Decatur.
Raymond was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Ivan to Smith Monroe and Zelma Mae (Martin) Gann. He married JoAnn Quisenberry April 3, 1954, in Fort Worth.
A U.S. Army veteran, Raymond retired from Wise Electric Co-op as a line superintendent in 1990 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bell Baptist Church for 50 years before joining the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Gann of Decatur; son Joel Gann and wife, Cathy, of Tomball; daughter Amy Curry and husband, Jeff, of Coppell; two brothers, James M. Gann of Everett, Wash., and Floyd Gann of Donna; sister Ruby Joyce Smith of Lakeside; and grandchildren Kyle Curry and Austin, Allyson and Tyler Gann.
Raymond was preceded in death by his two sisters, Anna and Rosa Mae Gann, and two brothers, Vernon and David Gann.
