Patsy Cobb Faulkner, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. A reception with family and friends will follow.
Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or a charity of your choice.
Patsy was born Feb. 21, 1936, in Boyd to the late Virginia Agnes and Elmer Lee Cobb. She graduated from Northwest High School and was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and Waco, where she assisted in the law practice of her late husband, John B. Faulkner.
Patsy was also a successful entrepreneur, dealing in real estate and other investments. She appreciated the accomplishments of others and encouraged her children to achieve their dreams for success.
Patsy was a passionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed traveling but was happiest spending time in the country, where she and John raised cattle, fished and entertained friends.
The family would like to extend utmost appreciation to Odyssey Hospice and many caregivers, especially Birdie Hancock and Ruby Caldera.
Survivors include her brother, Edwin Lee Cobb of Decatur; children Joe Cates Jr. and wife, Marianne, Patti Montague and husband, Jene, and Michael Cates and Melanie Cates-Clapp; John’s children, Carol Gischia and Andrew Faulkner; grandchildren Jordan and Jason Montague, Lauren and Max Cates, Trey Cates, Madison Clapp, Greg Geisha, Jordan Brown Faulkner and Mac Faulkner; great-grandson Dylen Montague; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
