Opal Goldman, 78, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral is 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Boyd Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Opal was born Oct. 17, 1934, in Boyd to Georgia and William Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Goldman; son Marlind Goldman; a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice Lisby and Hershell; and brother-in-law Bill Simpson.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Phillips (Leon) and Judy Williams (Doug); son Edward Goldman (Sherryl); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Alice Simpson and Sharon Chapman; brother George Smith (Roseanne); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
