O.T. Tatum, 95, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Funeral was April 16 at Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Mount Olivet Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Christian Care Hospice.
O.T. Tatum was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Boyd and graduated from North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas). He was a teacher, coach and principal in Bellevue and a highly respected owner of O.T. Tatum Sales Agency for 40-plus years.
He was a Navy veteran, a Mason and an avid golfer. O.T. was a deacon for more than 50 years at Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Emily Tatum; daughters Cynthia Hippel and husband, Bill, Patsy De Shazo and husband, James; grandchildren Dawn Ligon and husband, Grady, Leigh Ann Bourgeois and husband, Brandon, Heath Hippel and wife, Amy, and Jay Hippel; and seven great-grandchildren.
