Mable Jackson

Mable Jackson, 93, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in Decatur.

Funeral was Aug. 8 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with the Revs. Ken May and Ray Cobb officiating. Burial was at Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Calvin Jackson, Craig Jackson, Chuck Greever, Michael Fogle, Cooper Jackson, Andrew Greever, Tannor Jackson, Phillip Fortenberry, Andy Taylor, Barry Taylor and Scott Jackson.

Mable was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Greenwood to Bert Andrew and Birdie Mae (Hall) Rosenburg. She married Loyd Jackson Sr. Feb. 19, 1936, in Decatur. Mable was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur.

She is survived by sons Loyd Jackson Jr. and wife, Donna, of Decatur and Dave Jackson and wife, Elaine, of Greenwood; grandchildren Carrie Greever and husband, Chuck, Toni Hutchins and husband, Greg, Craig Jackson and wife, Diana, Calvin Jackson and wife, Tiffany, Stephanie Jackson, Amy Fogle and husband, Michael, Andy Taylor and wife, Kim, and Barry Taylor and wife, Meghan; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loyd Jackson Sr.; son Teddy Jackson; one sister and two brothers.
