L. Wayne ‘Bus’ Renshaw

L. Wayne “Bus” Renshaw, 85, of Grand Prairie, died May 20, 2013, in Arlington.

Graveside service was May 24 at Aurora Cemetery with the Rev. Calvary Callender officiating. Burial was under the direction of Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Howard Callender, Arch VanMeter, David VanMeter and Greg Blackmore serving as pallbearers.

Bus was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Decatur to Lafayette Wayne and Merle Margarette (VanMeter) Renshaw. He was a graduate of Rhome High School. He married Patricia Jean McGinnis in 1946 while serving in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Bus later married Greta Elizabeth Woods in 1968. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone as an engineer.

Bus enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends in Grand Prairie.

Survivors include his sons, David Renshaw and Marisela of Frisco, Doug Renshaw of Austin, and Dan Renshaw and wife, Maria, of San Antonio; grandchildren Mary and Micki Renshaw of San Antonio and Elisabeth and David William Renshaw of Frisco; brother Larry Renshaw and wife, Carolyn, of Pittsburg; and friend Bobbie Cochran.
