Jesse Everette Johnson Jr., 77, of Bridgeport, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Decatur.
Graveside service was July 2 in East Bridgeport Cemetery with Melvin Castleberry officiating.
Jesse was born June 9, 1936, in Fort Worth to Ola Maude (Greer) and Jesse Everette Johnson Sr. He was a quality controller who retired from Hanson Aggregates.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and married Patsy Palmer Aug. 9, 1969, in Houston. He was an avid football fan, especially of Texas A&M.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 43 years; son Tommy Johnson and wife, Denae, of Bridgeport; daughter Trisha Johnson of Fort Worth; brothers Jerry Johnson and wife, Martha, of Bryan and Kenneth Johnson and wife, Ellen, of Franklin; grandchildren Cheyenne Crisp and husband, Ethan, and Joliet Johnson; and great-grandchildren Chevelle and Creed Crisp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tommy Johnson.
