James Welton Redwine, 87, a rancher, farmer and dairyman, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in Decatur.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with the Revs. Charles Taylor and Jason Wiggington officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jerry Mara, Ed Robinson, Mike Overton, Steve Burk, Cheyenne Redwine and Laramie Redwine. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Burk, Sonny Burk and Dale Burk.
Welton was born May 4, 1926, in Chico to Hugh and Sybil(Howell) Redwine. He married Peggy (Israel) Redwine June 8, 1947, in Decatur. He was a member of the Allison Community Church.
He is survived by his son, Tony Redwine and wife, Connie; grandsons Cheyenne and Laramie Redwine; and sister Dora Rose, all of Decatur; plus a host of friends.
Welton was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Don Redwine; brother Ardell Redwine; and sister Ora Redwine.
