James Scott Hunnicutt

James Scott Hunnicutt, 71, of Lewisville, died Friday, April 19, 2013, in Denton.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville.

Scott was born Jan. 24, 1942, in San Benito to James and Norma Jean Hunnicutt. He married Sandy Margenau on Aug. 24, 1963, in Brownsville.

He attended Texas A&M, retired from Delta Airlines after 25 years and was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church. He loved his wife, kids and grandkids and was a Christian with a strong work ethic. Hunnicutt was a people person, never meeting a stranger and loved pulling your leg. He loved the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Hunnicutt is survived by Sandy, his wife of almost 50 years; sons Scott Hunnicutt and wife, Sonny, of Tuscon, Ariz., and Randy Hunnicutt of Flower Mound; daughter Carrie Adkins and husband, Ray, of Argyle; grandchildren Andrew, Amanda, Hannah and Grady; great-grandchildren Andrea and Londyn; sisters Linda Blaskowsky and Donna Crawford; and many nieces and nephews.
