Jack Edwin Tate

Jack Edwin Tate, 75, of Paradise, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in Decatur.

Graveside service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Crafton Cemetery. Brother Tom Merritt will officiate. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Jack was born July 25, 1938, in Fort Worth to Mae (Sibley) and Jack Tate. He was a lifelong resident of Haslet. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Jack was also a lifelong supporter of all the Northwest Texans’ sports teams and a devoted Ranger fan.

After retirement from Nokia, he enjoyed attending auctions. He is missed by all.

Jack is survived by brother Robert Tate and wife, Linda, of Crafton; sister Jane Wilson of Paradise; one niece; five nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
