Harrell Waldon White, 85, a truck driver, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Decatur.
Graveside service was March 15 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Charles Taylor and Gerre Joiner officiating. Pallbearers were David Cordero, Tommy Bishop, Dennis Whitfield, Ronnie Bishop, Gary Wilson and Darrell Wilson.
Harrell was born May 11, 1927, in Greenwood to Elisha D. and Laura Lee (Wilson) White. He married Bonnie Ruth Dempsey Jan. 13, 1945, in Decatur. Harrell was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and a past member of the Wise County Sheriff’s Posse.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ruth White of Decatur; son Paul White and wife, Lahoma, of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law Mary White of Decatur; grandchildren Chris White and wife, Tressie, of Decatur, Brandi White and husband, Jason, of Stillwater, Beth Turner and husband, Jon, of Arlington, Kim Owen and husband, Steven, of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Kandy Butz of Brownwood; great-grandchildren Kelby, Calvin, Kaleb, Colton, Harrison, Audrey, Maxwell, Cheyenne, Sarah, Lauren and Samuel; and sister Margie Wilson and husband, Wayne, of Decatur.
Harrell was preceded in death by a son, Leon White; brothers Alvin D. Jesse and Herbert White; and sisters Bonnie Wainscott, Faye Bishop and Alene Crunk.
