Gary Ray Evans
Gary was born June 16, 1954 in Midland to Kenneth Ray and Shirley Ann Smith Evans. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Gary earned a bachelor of science degree from Tarleton and spent his life a commercial pilot. He enjoyed skydiving and being a pilot for skydivers, as well as woodworking and building his own log house.
Funeral was Jan. 15 at the Church of Christ in Hico, with minister Joe Dale Wilson officiating. Burial was in Duffau Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ronda Nell Cook Evans; parents Kenneth Ray and Shirley Ann Smith Evans; father-in-law Tom Cook and wife Nell; son Taylor Scott Evans; daughter Stephanie Leigh Evans Koopman and husband Joshua; brothers Dusty Wayne Evans and Lee Douglas Evans and wife Stephanie; and granddaughter Paisley Rae Koopman.
