Freddie Mac Dumire, 68, of Rhome, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Dallas.

Graveside service is 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas with full military honors. Lucas Funeral Home in Justin is handling arrangements.

Freddie was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Wellington to Arnold and Juanita Dumire. During the Vietnam War, he served four tours with the U.S. Navy, spanning 10 years. He was highly decorated, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with six Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was a truck driver who enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. Freddie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his parents, Freddie is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Sharon; sons John Roberts, William Stone, Joshua Roberts and Tony Brammer; daughters Regina Marshall, Rhonda Krekeler, Mary Stone, Jennifer Roberts and Tammi Gambrell; brothers Joe Bob Dumire and Ximmie Dumire; sister-in-law Helene McDaniel, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
