Esther Lee Miller, 82, a bank manager, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in Decatur.
Memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Crossroads Church in Decatur with Darren Embree officiating.
Esther was born June 9, 1931, in Elliott, Miss., to Amos Bertram and Annie Marietta (Ayers) Brown. She married Walter Charles Miller April 5, 1952, in Fort Campbell, Ky., and they were married 56 years at his death Jan. 7, 2010.
Esther loved all sports and was inducted in the Hall of Fame for Bowling in 1995. She also loved crafts of any kind and loved being with family and friends. Esther was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Melody Richardson and husband, Gary, of Decatur; sons Carman Miller and wife, Marley, of Brooksville, Fla., and Bill Miller and wife, Beckie, of Grand Forks, N.D.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann Nations of El Paso and Carol Bishop of Vicksburg, Miss.; and brothers Mickey Brown of Hazelhurst, Miss., Orlander Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., and Warner Brown of Pascagula, Miss.
