A celebration of her life is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Edna was born Oct. 31, 1915, to Dannie Rebecca (Brewer) and Felix Johnson England. She married Lomer Hill Nov. 25, 1939, in Denton at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Theron J. Fouts.
For most of her life, Marie lived in Decatur, where she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Decatur Quilting Club. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and quiet humor.
In 2000, she moved into Meadow Lakes Retirement Community in North Richland Hills and recently to The Good Place, an assisted living community.
Survivors include her son, Dwayne Hill and wife, Peggy, of Wichita Falls; daughter Sandra Hill and husband, Reg, of Bedford; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Nina Robinson and Fern Mann of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her sister, Alma Allen; her brother, Joe England; and two grandsons.
The family extends sincere thanks to Grace Hospice and its staff for their excellent care throughout the last months of Marie’s life.
