Douglas Gerald Rollins, 72, a long-haul truck driver, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in Decatur.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Rollins was born June 8, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to Wallace and Margaret (Simpson) Rollins. He married Rubye Lee Fluker July 27, 1998. He retired from Werner Enterprises as a long-haul truck driver, was a private pilot and loved raising registered Boer goats with Rubye at his Cottonwood Creek farm.
Survivors include his wife, Rubye Rollins of Decatur; son Douglas Rollins Jr. of California, Md.; daughter Karen Cozzens of California, Md.; stepsons David White of Greenville, S.C., and Jeff White of Corsicana; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Rollins of Annapolis, Md., and Wallace Rollins of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and sister Linda Rollins of Sarasota, Fla.
