Doris Green Puchalski, 84, a retired postmaster, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Decatur.
Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Doris was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Rensselaer, Ind., to Paul and Viola (Beaver) Green. She married Edward Puchalski Sept. 28, 1957, at North Judson, Ind.
Doris retired from the U.S. Post Office in Denham, Ind. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the League of Postmasters.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Puchalski of Decatur; daughters Brenda McHenry of Corinth, Belinda Puchalski and Briget Puchalski, both of Decatur; son Brian Puchalski of Leakey; granddaughter Cassaundra McHenry; grandsons Royce McHenry and Luke Puchalski; sisters Elsie Faye Summers and Dixie Green, both of Rensselaer; brothers Richard Green of Connecticut and Mike Green of California.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Wanda Duggins and Margene Ogle; and brother Marvin Green.
