Dale Deweber, 63, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Denton County.
Funeral was Jan. 22 at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Bill Cleveland officiating. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie under the direction of White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
Dale was born Nov. 18, 1949, to William and Clara (Lawyer) Deweber in Nocona. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1968 where he excelled in football. Dale enjoyed playing sports, such as tennis, softball, golf and bowling. He married Sue on July 19, 1997, at the Bible Baptist Church in Bowie. Dale was a family man and enjoyed taking short trips on his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Deweber; brother David Deweber; and nephew Sean Deweber.
Dale is survived by his wife, Sue Deweber, of Alvord; children Nicole Smith and husband, Ronnie, of Krum, Stacy Deweber and husband, Eric Ballenger, of Arlington, Randy Christenson and wife, Angela, of Arlington, Joshua Christensen and wife, Tori, of Alvord and Makayla Dell Deweber of Alvord; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Danny Deweber and wife, Pam, of Decatur; and sister-in-law Patsy Deweber of Bowie.
