Danny Phillips

Danny Phillips, 69, a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, friend and educator died Sunday, July 21, 2013.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson.

Danny was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Decatur. He was a longtime teacher, coach and principal.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Barclay Phillips; daughters Rhonda Phillips and Cheryl Phillips Bryant; son Sam Phillips; son-in-law Ken Valliant; granddaughters Krisha Miller and husband David, Sierra Bryan and husband Chris; grandson Kaleb Bryant; great-grandchildren Karly and Cooper Bryan; brother Jerry Phillips; nieces Dana and Julie; great-niece Izzy; brother-in-law Michael Barclay; sisters-in-law, Kay Barclay and Betty Jean Slovacek; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, good friends and great golf buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Dee Phillips and Merle Phillips of Chico.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Advocacy Center in Cleburne or to a children’s charity of your choice.
