Bonnie Meador Holland, 72, a homemaker, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Gainesville.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will be at Sweetwater Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bill Adams, Don Singleton, David Meador, Craig Jackson, Curtis Anderson and Jim Gage.
Bonnie was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Decatur to Floyd D. and Margaret Elizabeth (Caraway) Meador. She married Steve Holland Feb. 21, 1960, at the Fundamental Baptist Church in Decatur. She was a 1959 graduate of Decatur High School and loved to travel with friends and family. She also enjoyed attending Meador family gatherings.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Steve Holland, son Kirk Holland, and daughter Dawn Downe and husband, Mark, all of Decatur; granddaughters Staci Downe and Alexis Downe of Decatur and Crystal Rodriguez of Bridgeport; and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters Dorothy Lambert of Boyd and Joyce Rich and husband, Curtis, of Paradise; brothers James Meador and wife, Evelyn, Wiley Meador and wife, Suzette, Donald Meador and wife, Barbara, and Roy Meador and wife, Linda, all of Decatur; mother-in-law Juanita Holland and sister-in-law Pam Holland, both of Decatur; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Vera Moore and Bobbie Stone, both of Decatur.
