Blanca Irma Nunez, 75, of Decatur, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Decatur.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Father Sojan George officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Amador, Jason Vickers, Phillip Flusche, Umberto A. Leal, John Price and Severo Valdez.
Blanca was born April 4, 1938, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Matias and Rosa (Martinez) Gonzalez. She married Mateo Nunez on May 25, 1958, and they were married 54 years at his death on Aug. 4, 2012.
Blanca retired from Poco Graphite after 20 years of service. She had been a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic church since 1958.
She is survived by daughters, Leticia Nunez Piazza and husband, Leonard, of Southlake, Grace Nivens and husband, Ben, of Grapevine, and Elsa Nunez of Grapevine; grandchildren Brock Matthew Nivens and Jaqueline Piazza; four sisters; one brother; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
