Billie E. Linden Bowers, 81, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, in Plano.
Memorial service was Nov. 16 at the New Life Family Worship Center in Grapevine with Ed Chesser officiating.
Billie was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Gadsden, Ala., to Billy and Lois (Cloud) McClain. She married John Bowers 39 years ago and although they were divorced, he never stopped loving her. Through the help of his daughter, he found her nine months ago, and they were married again on July 6, 2013, in Lillian.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, John Bowers of Plano; sons Stanford Hicks of Aurora, Danny Hicks and wife, Donna, of Woodloch, Rocky Hicks of Gatlinburg, Tenn., and Kelly Hicks of Wilmington, Ohio; stepdaughters Marsie Canada and husband, Gary, of Plano, and Debra Miller and husband, Terry, of Wichita Falls; stepsons Don Bowers and wife, Pam, of O’Fallon, Ill., and Matthew Bowers of Euless; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters Jacquelin McGinnes and husband, Harland, and Rosie Gail Floyd and husband, Johnny, all of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; brother Billy McClain and wife, Sandra, of Hokes Bluff; and other family members and friends.
