Betty Hale McAfee, 82, of Dallas, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in Mansfield.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian with Pastor Blain Craig officiating. Burial is at East Bridgeport Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Andrew McAfee, Brandon Lowe, Justin Lowe, Stephen Graham, Jonathan Womack and Larry Womack.
Betty was born April 20, 1931, in Russett, Okla., to Benjamin Early and Kathleen Belle (Stoddard) Hale. She married John C. McAfee Jan. 20, 1961, in Dallas. Betty was a retired legal secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, John C. McAfee; six siblings: Nora Marie, Oscar Lewis, Ouida Ann, Jesse Durward, Aubrey Dean and Ken Maynard.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ford and husband, Jay, of Fort Worth; sons L. Christopher Beck of Dallas and Kyle McAfee and wife, Renay, of Midlothian; grandchildren Andrew, Brandon, Justin and Kyleigh; great-grandchildren Chasady, Cayden and Jaxson; sister Jeanie Harvey and husband, Fred, of Waxahachie; and other family members and friends.
