Ambrose B. Plucker, 91, formerly of Neenah, Wis., a salesman, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Oakhill Cemetery in Neenah. Visitation there is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Westgor Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mark Gafaller will officiate at Hawkins Funeral Home, and the Rev. Richard Frost will officiate in Wisconsin.
Ambrose was born Sept. 21, 1921, to Richard and Matilda (Sell) Plucker in Neenah. He served his country as a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps as a pilot in World War II.
He married Eunice Hopkins April 1, 1944, in Sakeston, Mo., and they just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
Ambrose was a salesman for Kimberly-Clark and retired after 30 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Church at Grace in Neenah and Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Richland Hills. Ambrose enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Dwight, Dalton and Richard Plucker.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Plucker of Bridgeport; son Wayne Plucker and wife, Rexene, of San Antonio; daughter Barbara Green and husband, Leroy, of Bridgeport; grandchildren Terry, Dale and Laura; six great-grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
