A 28-year-old woman from Decatur suffered serious injuries after careening her Chevy Tahoe into a tree on a gravel road about five miles north of Decatur.

Just after 9 this morning Annette Livingston was eastbound on County Road 2650, just west of Farm Road 730 when she lost control of her vehicle while going around a curve. The vehicle spun clockwise out of control, and the driver’s side hit a tree. The roof caved down on her head, and her leg got jammed between the steering wheel and the door. Rescue workers had to pry her free from the wreckage.

She was flown by helicopter to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. There was no one else involved in the accident. Speed might have played a factor. Linvingston was headed to work at Walmart in Decatur when she wrecked.
