WRECK INJURES 6 – Six people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Farm Road 51 and County Roads 4380 and 3390 just north of Texas 114 just before 5 p.m. yesterday. Emergency crews found wreckage everywhere and patients in all three vehicles. Tamara Green, 67, who lived nearby, ran the stop sign at the intersection of CR 4380, according to a highway patrolman investigating the accident. Green told investigators that her brakes failed. Her pickup crashed into the side of a southbound sports-utility-vehicle driven by Rhonda Christian, 42, of Springtown. Christian’s vehicle then ricocheted into another pickup, driven by Decatur resident Rosa Aguera, 52, of Decatur, stopped at the stop sign of nearby CR 3390. Christian; Green and one passenger in her pickup; and Aguera and two passengers in her pickup were all transported by ground to Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. While none of the injuries appeared life threatening, a young female passenger in Aguera’s car appeared to have suffered the worst of it. The highway was closed in both directions for more than half-an-hour as crews cleaned up the wreckage and medics tended to the patients.
