MOTORCYCLE COLLIDES WITH PICKUP – Two people were seriously injured in an accident Monday afternoon on Farm Road 51 South, southeast of Paradise. Justin Rollins, 27, of Haltom City and Rebecca Hammond, 34, of Fort Worth sustained serious injuries when the motorcycle on which they were riding hit a pickup driven by Valerie Marks, 23, of Alvarado about 1:45 p.m. A Department of Public Safety trooper said Marks was traveling south on Farm Road 51 and was turning left into a driveway just north of Texas 114, near the railroad tracks. There was one car behind Marks, and the motorcycle, driven by Rollins, was behind the car. Rollins attempted to pass both vehicles and hit the pickup as it turned. The impact threw Hammond, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, over the pickup , and the motorcycle ricocheted off the pickup and crashed into a nearby tree. Rollins and Hammond were wearing helmets and were conscious at the scene. Both were flown to a Metroplex hospital. Marks was not injured.
